Congratulations...

You win the award for Best Opening Ever. I first heard this while playing Ederon, and the first thought that came to my mind was, "This game isn't worthy of this song!" I have devised a prologue to this song:
The government is testing new drugs on a soldier. These will supposedly make him immensely powerful without damaging his mind. They inject him with the drug, and...
*song starts*
By 0:50, everyone in the lab is dead except him, whose bloodshot eyes search for more victims.
I hope you like it!

Whoa, man...whoa.

This is just a tiny bit too crazy. Maybe you could have smoothed it out a bit, especially at 1:15. Other than that, this is one of the reasons that you're one of my favorite authors. Keep it up!

Dj-Fanta5t1c responds:

well i could do this thing... NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

could improve

This was good, but it seemed way too mellow for the title "Rush". Maybe "Amble" would be a more fitting one. I suggest that you make the cymbals more prominent and varied in pattern. I also agree with J4YM4N; you should have the break in the melody be earlier. I hope you improve this, and I'll definitely be watching for the full version.
No pressure, take your time. :^)

Karco responds:

Mellow? Mellow was the last thing I was aiming for. o_O I was aiming for slow, yet dramatic... not a literal rush, but a rush in other ways.

If by cymbals you meant hihats, yeah, I can imagine those done a bit better, they're loops, after all. XD It would be a bit difficult, but definitely possible, I'll have to try it next time I open the project file.

And like I said before, the structure isn't set in stone. ;D

Thanks for the review!

hmm...

Pretty good, but I don't think the beat is solid enough.

This song can be described by four little words.

BEST. SONG. ON. NEWGROUNDS.

Here's my scenario. :)

What I hear in this song is a man depressed and wandering aimlessly on a path somewhere during the middle ages. Suddenly, it switches to a flashback of the man in a town at night, murdering somebody and stealing their valuables. He is caught in his act and exiled from the town. As the flashback fades, it is raining and the man is on his knees and crying. He decides that he must go back to the town and redeem his sin. When he returns to the town, though, he is greeted by angry guards with swords bared and shouting, "Begone, villian!" The man is forced to flee and barely escapes with his life. Another flashback appears, showing the man several years ago with his family holding each other and smiling. Realizing that he can never return to his family, he starts back down the path, this time with a new philosophy: he must assume a new identity and start a new life, in which he does no evil.

I hope you like it. :)

KTRECORDS responds:

I do like it : ). I kind of makes me want to write another song to follow up this one to go with the story. Too bad I'm not that good yet, lol. Maybe someday. Thanks for the story!

ahhh

This brings back sweet memories of those glorious old Kirby games.

meh...

This isn't too bad, but I thought that the third instrument to be introduced (the wierd guitar thingy) was horrible. If you replace that with something cleaner, you could make something much better.

good

I thought the second half was better than the first, though.

DarKsidE555 responds:

No probs man. The first half is more serious, since it's all about dad. The second half is more funny and upbeat. :)

It's up to the listener to decide if he likes the hole song or just a part of it. In any case, thanks for checking it out!

5 seconds???

Um... this is a good song, I guess. It isn't annoying when heard over and over again like one would expect, and it's well made. It's just...well...five seconds long. I really don't know what to say.
